About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance to provide hands-on leadership and strategic financial guidance. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with legal and financial requirements. This role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations, cash forecasting, and treasury operations, as well as leading the budgeting and forecasting processes. The VP of Finance will also be tasked with enhancing the operational efficiency of the accounting team, leading the audit process, and maintaining effective internal controls.Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, a CPA, and a minimum of 10 years of combined public and private accounting experience, with a focus on real estate. Strong knowledge of GAAP, proficiency in financial analysis, and experience with real estate accounting are essential. The role requires excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate and manage a team. The VP of Finance will also be expected to act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, set department policies in accordance with GAAP, and participate in the hiring, training, and development of staff. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software is necessary, with experience in Yardi and financial forecasting software being a plus.
