IT Support Technician Level Two
to join their team long term in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
IT Support Technician Level 2 Responsibilities:
User Support and Issue Resolution via phone, email, chat and ticketing systemsIdentify, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network-related problems. Provide step-by-step instructions and guidance to usersLog, track and communicate service request statuses to users in the ticketing system, ensuring accurate and complete documentationInstall, configure and troubleshoot computer hardware, peripheral devices and software applications. Perform installations, upgrades and patch deployments according to established procedures and guidelinesCreate, modify and disable user accounts in a hybrid Active Directory environment. Assist users with password rests, account unlocks and access-related issues. Ensure compliance with security protocols and collaborate with IT Manager to identify and report potential security incidents or breachesEstablish and maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets including hardware, software, licenses and peripheral devices. Conduct periodic audits to ensure the accuracy of inventory. Track asset lifecycles. Ensure compliance with asset management policies, including license management and software complianceAssist in developing and maintaining a knowledge base of troubleshooting common issues, steps and resolutions. Update and expand knowledge base with innovative solutions and best practices. Document and maintain accurate records of user interactions, technical solutions and system configurationsAct as project lead for telecommunication, audio/visual (AV), handheld terminal and printer deployment projectsResearch, recommend, implement and maintain audio/visual (AV) solutions
IT Support Technician Level 2 Requirements:
5+ years of experience installing and maintaining Windows based Servers and various operating systems, software applications and hardware components5+ years of experience troubleshooting and maintaining PCs, laptops and printersProfessional certification such as CompTIA A+, M365 Endpoint Administrator Associate or equivalentITIL, A+, Help Desk Analyst or Field Service Technician CertificationCCNA or Network+ Certification a plusExperience with Microsoft Intune/MDM solutionsExperience with Active Directory, Office 365 and other enterprise-level softwareExperience on Technical Support team as level three support technician fielding support ticket escalation callsExperience in SharePoint Online and Power Automate a plusProvide advanced technical support to end-users for hardware, software and peripheral issues
