Summary:A global public technology company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join one of its Finance divisions. This role focuses on ensuring accurate recording and reporting of the division’s revenue and direct expenses while supporting operational teams with financial insights and adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal accounting policies.The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the monthly financial close process, account analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and preparing reports through the analysis of operational and financial data.Key ResponsibilitiesLead monthly financial close activities for units generating over $3 billion in annual revenue.Analyze profit and loss accounts for U.S. operations.Perform balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring compliance with REIT and securitization reporting.Maintain internal control documentation and perform audits to meet

requirements.Collaborate across departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and determine accurate accounting treatment.Support
SEC reporting
by providing accurate data and identifying control deficiencies.Identify and recommend systems optimizations and process improvements; implement approved changes.Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.Review budget vs. forecast analyses and trends to prepare monthly operating reports.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required;
CPA and/or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
preferred.Deep understanding of GAAP with the ability to independently apply standards to business transactions.5% travel required.Strong communication skills, both written and oral, to present ideas effectively across functional groups.Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
