Release of Information Clerk
will be assisting in various medical record functions that include but not limited to release of information, sorting, data entry, filing and answering/directing phone calls.
Duties and Responsibilities: Fulfill all requests for records in a timely manner and follow all State and Federal rules and regulations regarding the release of information. Answer phone calls in a timely and courteous manner. Greet patients and help them with any questions regarding their records.Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:Handles all communication (telephone, email, interpersonal) with patients and other departments.Receives documents and responds to all patient correspondence promptly and courteously.Provides exceptional customer service.Ensures that services should be provided in accordance with state and federal regulations, organizational policy, and accreditation/compliance requirementsAbility to work both independently and within a team.Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
