Primary Purpose of DepartmentWithin Financial Services, Treasury Services is responsible for maintaining and reporting business transactions for multiple University-related entities including preparation of monthly journal entries, sales taxes, taxable benefits, and audit schedules required for annual not-for-profit financial statements.

Primary Purpose of PositionPrimarily responsible for maintaining and reporting business transactions for multiple university-related entities including preparation of monthly journal entries, sales taxes, taxable benefits, and audit schedules required for annual not-for-profit financial statements.

Summary of Position ResponsibilitiesProvides cash control through related analysis and segregation of cash receipts and disbursements into various fund groups. Maintains pledge reporting records for related charitable foundations and is the main source of contact for the Advancement and Athletic Foundation gift processing area. Manages the auto lease program, the life insurance gift program, and other planned giving programs. Prepare monthly financial statements for all entities including year-over-year variance analysis with suggestions for improvements, if any. Maintain fixed-asset details and reconcile gifts between the foundations and the university. Provide financial guidance for our Student Legal Services entity.

Minimum Education/ExperienceBachelor's degree and 2-4 years experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceMaster's degree with 1-2 years experience; knowledge of Quick Books and charitable foundation gift processing.
