Order VerificationReviews medication orders and patient profiles for drug/drug and drug/allergy interactions and therapeutic duplications.Makes recommendations to providers and documents interventions.Participates in monitoring medications for safety and effectiveness.Medication DispensingPerform medication verification as required by law.Oversee technician preparation of medication orders including hospital compounded medications.Departmental SupportParticipates in product selection, procurement and receiving of pharmaceuticals.Provides medication related education and information to providers.Qualifications

Education:B.S. Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)Experience:Appropriate pharmacy setting experience preferred, but not required.License(s)/Certification(s):Must be licensed or obtain licensure to practice Pharmacy in Iowa and Illinois within six months of employment. Must be directly supervised by a licensed pharmacist until Pharmacist license is obtained.
