Volt is immediately hiring a Lab Chemist /Physicist/ Engineer II in Maplewood with a well-known industry leader. Must be able to run coverage day/ afternoon/ or midnight shift, as needed (roughly 3-5 days per month)

This is a first shift position.
As a Lab Chemist you will:
Prepare routine and novel samples for analysis via SEM and AFM analysis using ultramicrotomy, ion milling, and other conventional techniques.Operate SEM and AFM and collecting dataComplete basic image processing and data analysis.Organize generated data into communicable reports.Support product development engineers through physical property and optical testing/characterization, sample prep.
Estimated Duration 24 + months.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree in (Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or related discipline)2 years experience working in optical metrology lab
Preferred Skills:
Pay Rate: $28.00-29.00 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
