Job Summary:

The HR Generalist II is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with HR manager. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, onboarding, policy implementation, affirmative action, offboarding, and employment law compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations:
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees on HR-related queries and concerns.
  • Mediate and resolve employee conflicts in a confidential and effective manner.
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints or issues as required.
  • Meet with new employees to ensure an understanding of company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain employee files and records.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Benefits Administration:
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment and claims issues.
  • Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.
  • Coordinate and communicate with benefits providers.
  • Compliance and Policy Implementation:
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.
  • HR Metrics and Reporting:
  • Compile and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and make recommendations.
  • Prepare reports on HR metrics such as turnover rates, absenteeism, and headcount.
  • Perform additional HR-related tasks as required to support the HR department's goals.
Qualifications:
  • Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of HR generalist experience.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification is preferred.
