Job Summary:
The HR Generalist II is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with HR manager. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, onboarding, policy implementation, affirmative action, offboarding, and employment law compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employees on HR-related queries and concerns.
- Mediate and resolve employee conflicts in a confidential and effective manner.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints or issues as required.
- Meet with new employees to ensure an understanding of company policies and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain employee files and records.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback for continuous improvement.
- Benefits Administration:
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and claims issues.
- Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.
- Coordinate and communicate with benefits providers.
- Compliance and Policy Implementation:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.
- HR Metrics and Reporting:
- Compile and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and make recommendations.
- Prepare reports on HR metrics such as turnover rates, absenteeism, and headcount.
- Perform additional HR-related tasks as required to support the HR department's goals.
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years of HR generalist experience.
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification is preferred.
