Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our corporate team.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for P&L and Balance Sheet accounting for assigned areas to include journal entries, account reconciliations, account analysis, and schedulesResearch and investigate financial variances for monthly fluctuation analysis (P&L and Balance Sheet); resolve in an expeditious mannerSupport alignment with Shared Service Accounting policies and best practicesPrepare business process documentation for core activitiesProactive self-starter; agility to work in fast-paced, acquisitive environment and adapt and lead through changeAnalytical mindset; ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction to accomplish objectivesAble to immerse oneself to understand problems and propose solutions; not opposed to digging into the detailsExcellent communication skills, intrapersonal skills to interact with and influence various levels of management and varying levels of expertise at Corporate office and acquired business unitsAbility and desire to learn new skillsExperience demonstrates business acumenMust be detail orientedExperience meeting tight deadlinesStrategizes ways to identify and implement improvements towards process optimizationBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting7+ experience in AccountingExperience with ERP systems and other support applications is preferredExperience in the application of accrual accounting for hard month-end close cut-offCandidate should be comfortable dealing with complex accounting matters and competency applying US GAAPStrong excel skills (formulas, vlookup, xlookup, pivot tables, etc)
