Computer Systems Administrator requires:Hardware & software installationWindowsActive DirectoryFrederick, MD with 1 day/week working from home.Virtual Machines (VMs)Public Trust Clearance is required.Computer Systems Administrator duties:Install and maintain: Setting up and maintaining computer hardware and software, including operating systems and applicationsConfigure and troubleshoot: Configuring systems, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical support to usersSecurity: Maintaining security for networks and systems, including performing security tests and monitoringPerformance: Evaluating and optimizing network and system performanceUser management: Adding users to networks, assigning security permissions, and training usersMonitoring: Monitoring data centers and resources to ensure systems are working properlyBackups and disaster recovery: Performing data backups and disaster recovery operationsProblem solving: Quickly resolving network problems, such as computer viruses, slow performance, and DNS issuesUpdates: Keeping equipment and software up to dateIncident response: Responding to incidents and providing problem resolution assistance
