While it’s still important that you have technical skills, we are looking for System Administrators with the ability to relate to our clients on a personal level. You should have the ability to communicate positively and leave our clients with the feeling of confidence that we can handle the problem.The ideal candidate will perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. Based on assessments, this individual will harness collected knowledge and make adjustments to existing systems. You will be troubleshooting client issues and solving client’s technical issues.Objective:
As a Systems Administrator within a Managed Service Provider (MSP), your role is pivotal in managing, maintaining, and optimizing the IT infrastructures of our diverse client base. You are responsible for ensuring the reliable performance of systems, implementing new technologies, and providing advanced technical support.Key Roles and Responsibilities:
System Management and Monitoring:
Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of client servers, networks, and computing infrastructures.Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and proactively implement solutions.Network Administration:
Administer network environments including firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless network interfaces.Ensure network security and connectivity, monitor network usage, and perform network maintenance tasks.Security Management:
Implement and manage security solutions to protect systems against threats.Regularly update security protocols and conduct security audits to identify vulnerabilities.Data Management and Backup:
Manage and monitor data backup processes, ensuring data integrity and recovery capability.Develop and test disaster recovery plans to guarantee business continuity for clients.Software and Hardware Maintenance:
Install, configure, and update hardware and software systems.Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, providing timely resolution.Technical Support and Escalation:
Provide advanced level technical support to resolve complex issues escalated from the help desk team.Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers for specialized support.Project Management:
Plan and implement IT projects, from system upgrades to new infrastructure deployments.Coordinate with various teams and clients to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.Documentation and Reporting:
Document system configurations, changes, procedures, and incidents.Prepare reports on system performance, incidents, and maintenance for management and clients.Client Communication and Consultation:
Act as a technical advisor to clients, recommending solutions and improvements to their IT infrastructure.Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate technical guidance.Professional Development:
Keep abreast of the latest technology trends and advancements.Pursue certifications and training opportunities relevant to the role and the needs of the MSP’s client base.Qualifications and Skills:
Strong technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including server environments.Extensive experience with hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.Working knowledge of Cloud based Services like M365, Azure & GSuite.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Proficient in systems security, data backup, and disaster recovery protocols.Strong communication and customer service skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects.Education and Experience:
Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred.Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, VMware) are highly desirable.Minimum 5-years of experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role is required.Your expertise as a Systems Administrator will ensure that our clients receive top-notch service, maintaining the high standard of operational excellence that our MSP is known for.Job Type:
