Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections is seeking a System Administrator. This contract position will work developing, implementing and managing information systems. The position will support the IT Director by assisting with developing and adhering to workplans, by managing, coordinating and implementing projects or components of projects.
Job Title:
System Administrator
Location: Tampa
Pay Range: $35/hr
What’s the Job?
Responsible for setting up, managing, and resolving issues related to routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment. This includes both local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs), as well as handling VPN and Internet connectivity
Maintain corporate infrastructure, including networks, hardware, software, voice, data, firewalls, and licensing, assuring continuous systems availability
Monitor the system daily and respond quickly to any security or usability concerns
Manage LAN/WAN security at four locations
Recommend, develop, and deploy upper-level IT solutions
What’s Needed?
Experience working in a Systems Administrator or Network Manager role or support of. Min 4 years
Knowledge of information technology infrastructure development, standards and protocols
Knowledge on Active Directory, domain controllers, and server management
Bachelors preferred
Possession of a valid and current FL Driver License with no more than seven points
