Cloud Lake Technology is looking for a Senior Release Engineer to support a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) prime contract that provides comprehensive support services for Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to include planning, building, testing, deployment, stabilization of workstation changes, software distribution, patch management, service management, and program and administrative management related tasks. As part of this technical role, you will also serve as the Release Team Lead. Responsibilities

Develops and/or uses existing processes and procedures to deploy workstation software changes and patches successfully to client environment and targeted devices

Develops checks and balances to ensure current client software distribution environment is adequate to support the identified future changes/releases

Performs configuration management and administration and systems management functions to maintain stability, interoperability, and security of software solutions

Evaluates, tests, and integrates workstation changes

Fulfills end user and change requests for operational engineering assignments pertaining to software, deployments, security updates, and overall configuration of client workstation systems

Fulfills end user requests for ad-hoc reporting and information regarding client workstation systems

Provides operations and maintenance support of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager infrastructure, patching, and updates to include troubleshooting issues when they arise

Maintains technical support documents and provide recommendations to improve upon current processes where necessary

Prepares and submits customer deliverable reports for patching, metrics, and software releases

Writes technical support documents, develop technical approaches, and provides recommendations to improve upon current processes where necessary

Ensures implementation of security and compliance features

Provides technical leadership on major tasks or technology assignments

Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives

Drives technical innovation and process improvement efforts

Leads, motivates, and communicates with your delivery team to ensure that technical requirements are met

Supports corporate initiatives and projects as needed

Qualifications

The candidate shall possess 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience

The candidate shall currently have a bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Information Technology. Demonstrated 9+ years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree

Relevant Certifications in either A+, Security+/Network+, OS, Entra, Intune, MECM and/or Microsoft 365 Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified Administrator Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified Endpoint Administrator Associate are preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills (written and verbal) with experience briefing senior federal executives

Be able to obtain and maintain a favorable CBP suitability determination

Must be a U.S. citizen

Ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance is preferred as responsibilities in program/portfolio management grow within the company

Strong understanding of Windows 10 and 11 operating systems

Perform Tier III/IV troubleshooting of issues pertaining to client workstation systems and distribution points

Experience utilizing and maintaining enterprise management systems such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Active Directory, MS Entra ID and Intune

Experience utilizing Service Now ticketing system

Demonstrated experience managing Windows Software Update Services (WSUS), Windows Update for Business (WUfB) and enterprise level releases with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager

Experience implementing/troubleshooting Browser Extensions, Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and Group Policy Preferences (GPPs)

Exposure to Cloud Endpoint Management (MS Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, etc.)

Exposure to Applications (M365 Apps, Adobe Creative Cloud, Beyond Trust, etc.)

Ability to troubleshoot application deployments and issues pertaining to MECM infrastructure, distribution points and client-side issues

Experience with Microsoft PowerBI, advanced Excel tables/chart/formulas and PowerPoint.

Excellent process-oriented skills with regards to configuration management and troubleshooting within a complex enterprise environment

Excellent data analysis skills

Excellent command of English (written and spoken) and presentation skills

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including a superior ability to work effectively at the highest levels within an interagency environment on complex issues requiring consensus-building

Demonstrated ability in developing effective professional and interpersonal relationships with peers and colleagues across multiple functional groups and external partners

Ability to balance responsibilities among assigned activities; including the ability to manage transitions effectively from task to task, and proven adaptability to varying customer needs
