Cloud Lake Technology is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to support a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) prime contract that provides comprehensive support services for Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to include planning, building, testing, deployment, stabilization of workstation changes, software distribution, patch management, service management, and program and administrative management related tasks. As part of this technical engineering role, you will also serve as the MECM/Infrastructure Team Lead. Responsible for administration of a distributed Windows desktop environment, utilizing enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, and internet-based devices. The ideal candidate will perform as a Team Lead to work collaboratively with various teams providing Tier III/IV support to end users through the effective use and management of the enterprise ticket management system with expedient resolution to trouble tickets, service requests, break fixes, and change requests. Responsibilities
Designs, implements and manages the infrastructure for configuration management, patch management, application deployment and device imaging functionality for all business end user computing devices, with a focus on Microsoft Endpoint Management solutions, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and Microsoft Intune
Leads efforts to engineer, implement, and support the user Out of Box Experience and Device Enrollment process for end user devices to include desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile computing devices
Performs administration and systems management functions to maintain stability, interoperability, portability, security, and scalability of system architecture
Provides operations and maintenance support of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, infrastructure, patching, and updates to include troubleshooting issues when they arise
Performs Tier III/IV troubleshooting of issues pertaining to client workstation systems and distribution points
Fulfills requests for ad-hoc reporting and information regarding client workstation systems
Fulfills end user and change requests for operational engineering assignments pertaining to software deployments, security updates, and overall configuration of client workstation systems
Writes technical support documents, develop technical approaches, and provide recommendations to improve upon current processes where necessary
Evaluates, tests, and integrates workstation changes
Ensures implementation of security and compliance features
Provides technical leadership on major tasks or technology assignments
Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives
Ensures preparation and delivery of daily system health reports
Drives technical innovation and process improvement efforts
Leads, motivates, and communicates with your technical team to ensure that technical requirements are met
Supports corporate initiatives, projects, and perform additional duties as needed
Qualifications
The candidate shall possess 5+ years of hands-on experience demonstrating a proven track record in successfully administering and managing complex information technology systems, with a focus on Microsoft Endpoint Management solutions, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and Microsoft Intune. This includes real-world experience verifying stability, interoperability, portability, security, and scalability of system architecture, specifically within Windows OS and MacOS environments
Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in configuring and managing Active Directory, implementing security and compliance features, and optimizing endpoint solutions
The candidate shall currently have a bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Information Technology. Demonstrated hands-on experience of 9+ years in configuring and managing Microsoft 365 services, implementing security and compliance features, and optimizing endpoint solutions will be considered in lieu of a college degree
Relevant Certifications in either A+, Security+/Network+, OS, Entra, Intune, MECM and/or M365 Desktop Administrator Associate are preferred
Expert level Mastery utilizing and maintaining enterprise management systems with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager to include management of assets, collections, software distributions, updates, and reports/queries
Demonstrated experience within a distributed environment of at least 5,000 workstations and/or servers, 20,000+ workstations a plus, 75,000+ in government setting ideal
Strong experience utilizing scripting and/or programming languages such as PowerShell, C++ (Visual Studio), VBScript, and PowerShell to automate processes and manage system configuration
Thorough understanding of Windows Installer technology and significant experience configuring applications for silent or unattended deployments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (written and verbal) with experience briefing senior federal executives
Be able to obtain and maintain a favorable CBP suitability determination
Must be a U.S. citizen
Ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance is preferred as responsibilities in program/portfolio management grow within the company
Strong understanding of Windows 10 and 11 operating systems
Mastery understanding of Active Directory, particularly with implementing/troubleshooting Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and Group Policy Preferences (GPPs)
Ability to troubleshoot application installations and end user issues pertaining to usage of various desktop applications (BeyondTrust, Corretto, M365 Apps, Adobe products, and numerous other third-party applications)
Strong understanding of Edge and Google Chrome (security zones, document modes, add-ons) and ability to troubleshoot/identify web app and site security or compatibility related issues
Understanding of Line-of-Business (LOB) apps with regards to provisioning (side-loading) and troubleshooting failed installations or updates
Knowledge of application virtualization using App-V (or similar product)
Experience using Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) (or similar product) for the purpose of building and maintaining reference images
Experience using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager Task Sequences (or similar product) for the purposes of building or performing Operating System Deployments (OSD) requiring multiple steps
Use of Remote Admin Tools as well as Hyper-V systems for building and validating test cases
Experience with M365, Entra, Intune, Graph API, and workflow automation tools such as SCORCH and Power Automate are a plus
Experience with LAPS and BitLocker a plus
Expert level understanding of cybersecurity ramifications of group policy settings.
Experience with STIGS a plus
Excellent data analysis skills
Excellent command of English (written and spoken) and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including a superior ability to work effectively at the highest levels within an interagency environment on complex issues requiring consensus-building
