In Research Information Services at St. Jude, the Sr Business Analyst is responsible for coordinating and leading the design of systems and processes in conjunction with the implementation of new systems and other performance improvement initiatives. This individual guides and directs team members around processes, systems and issues related to business aspects as well as services and process capabilities.We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Business Analyst with IT governance and regulatory compliance knowledge and skills. This individual should have a proven track record in enhancing data protection and compliance frameworks and have experience aligning with GDPR, NIST, and other regulations.Job Responsibilities:Document requirements, workflows and reports.Evaluate policies and procedures for gaps as well as identify remediation solutions for practices out of compliance.Assist with project management responsibilities including planning, coordinating, and organizing projects across departments.Proactively engage with stakeholders & vendors to support delivery of data protection and governance solutions in line with business plans.Prepare reports for management.Act as a liaison between end-users, Information Services and other departments.Establish best practices and SOPs to support comprehensive strategies.Participate in activities related to the education of business teams around services and capabilities, as well as IT change management & communication.Develop business cases/proposals for programs and projects based on understanding of departmental roadmap.Develop presentation materials, documents, etc. for programs/projects and present materials to stakeholders.Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.Maintains regular and predictable attendance.Minimum Education and/or Training:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business or related field required.Master's degree preferred.Minimum Experience:Minimum requirement: 4+ years of experience in a comparable client-facing IT role.Experience working in IT governance and regulatory compliance-related IT projects is preferred.Familiarity with Information Security is beneficial.Regulatory knowledge and HIPAA knowledge, etc, is also preferred.Skilled in documentation, critical thinking, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support comprehensive compliance strategies is preferred.Experience working with structured Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.Exposure to diverse business ecosystems of moderate complexity in pharma, healthcare, biotech and/or research organization preferred.Demonstrated history leading discussions and documenting resulting business and/or technical requirements, user stories and process flows.Experience translating business requirements to technical/system requirements.Demonstrated ability to work with mid to senior-level business leaders.CompensationIn recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
