A Brief OverviewThe

Credit Analyst II

conducts fundamental and relative value analysis on an independent basis with full investment decision-making responsibility for individual credits within assigned industries. At a professional level, present in written and verbal form, thesis that supports all investment conclusions while appropriately considering RGA's risk and return parameters. One should be able to demonstrate a high level of sophistication in navigating the capital markets, with robust theses on all investment idea recommendations.

What you will do

Responsible for conducting fundamental and relative value analysis on individual credits within assigned industries at an advanced level. Produce high quality substantive reports that are clear and concise and establish the strengths and challenges to a credit. Conclusions demonstrate a broad and progressive approach to analysis and also a level of proactivity in idea generation that demonstrates a progressively higher level of expertise.

Demonstrate solid understanding of RGA's risk tolerance through recommendation of investment ideas that reflect risk-reward parameters appropriate to RGA's balance sheet.

Demonstrate resourcefulness and creativity in sourcing and synthesizing data pertaining to all assigned credits and industries. Data must include earnings reports, industry data, interpretation of rating agency considerations, and identification of potential event risks.

Develop and maintain relationships with company management, rating agency analysts and sell side analysts. Independently generate lines of inquiry and points of discussion that demonstrate understanding of fundamental issues facing a credit or industry.

Maintain current knowledge of capital markets, investment practices, trends and applications. Initiate improvements to the credit monitoring process.

Participate in gathering, manipulating and incorporating data in support of projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

MBA graduate and 5+ years relevant work experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in economics/finance related field with 7+ year relevant work experience

CFA or significant progress towards

Advanced: analytic skills that can be applied to quantitative and qualitative data capacity to absorb and apply information in efficient and accurate manner. knowledge of accounting and quantitative analysis

Intermediate verbal and written skills to clearly and concisely communicate research and ideas negotiating and persuasion skills

Experience: with spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software. in the optimal use of provided data resources which would include Bloomberg and Blackrock

Ability to focus in an open environment, quickly adapt to new methods, work to tight deadlines in fast paced environment, set goals, and manage multiple tasks, clients, and projects simultaneously

Appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables

work well within a team environment and participate in department/team projects; provide satisfactory customer service, translate business needs and problems into viable/accepted solutions

Compensation Range:$101,685.00 - $151,435.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
