The Director of Internal Operations will have responsibility for all aspects of facility scheduling and maintenance as well as all internal event operations. This responsibility includes but is not limited to game-day operations, event management, scheduling and contracts, and facilities maintenance operations.
You will:
Plan and direct event and game management activities for all home athletic events: securing, supervising and evaluating all game workers.Coordinate all NCAA and NE10 postseason championship events, including preparing bids for hosting, event management, tournament direction and site supervision.Manage the master game schedule for each team.Coordinate the schedule for all athletics venues by internal, university, and external groups via the EMS scheduling system.Serve as liaison to the University facilities department for all custodial and mechanical needs for the athletics department buildings, offices, and venues.Supervise and assist with the completion of all game contracts and officials' contracts for all sports.Understand and comply with NCAA Division II, NE10 and University rules and regulations.Collaborate with campus departments that are required in conducting home events including facilities/maintenance department, athletics grounds supervisor, campus police, food service, bookstore and others as needed.Assist in coordination of special events, including the Charger Huddle, Hall of Fame, Charger Classic and others as assigned.Represent the Department of Athletics, when necessary, at such university activities as commencement, orientation, open house and all meetings as deemed appropriate by the Director of Athletics & Recreation.Other duties as assigned by the Director of AthleticsYou need:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferredThorough knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules.Strong organizational, communication, and planning skills.Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office software products.What's In It for You:
