Job Summary - HR Generalist/HRIS - Contract (Administrative Operations Coordinator)
Job Duties:
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for centralized HR functions within the agency"s headquarters. This role will be responsible for performing project-based tasks related to evaluating compensation based on job descriptions and preparation for the implementation of a new HRIS system.
Compensation Analysis Project
-Review job descriptions and evaluate and assign exemption status for each role;-Locate and evaluate timecards for each role that is deemed non-exempt;-Evaluate timecards to identify eligibility for additional pay (overtime, spread of hours, hazard) based
FLSA laws-Review timecards to ensure day of rest was provided in every 7-day period-Scan the timecards, job description, and an Excel spreadsheet detailing any supplemental pay identified for each role
Preparation for Implementation of HRIS System-Review current HR physical filing system;-Conduct interfiling to prepare for third-party vendor scanning of physical files in anticipation of digital-only HR records;-Collaborate with HR team members to support employees with resubmission of critical documents into new HR system, and-Perform other HR-related mission-centric duties as assigned.

-Bachelor"s degree in a relevant field;-SHRM or HRCI Certification required;-Minimum 5-7 years" experience preferred working in a human resources generalist or equivalent role;-Ability to interact professionally, exercise self-motivation; demonstrate conscientious and diligent work progress;-Flexible, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, supportive, and fun work environment;-Excellent communication skills, both written and orally, delivering information with precision and clarity;-Critical thinking mindset, challenging status quo in search of constant improvement and positive evolution;-Uphold high degree of confidentiality and maintain productive work output without compromising quality, and-Extremely competent using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, ADP and Paycom.
WORK SCHEDULE:The position is a full-time, hourly position. Generally, the hours worked will be weekdays from 9:00a.m. - 5:00p.m., with flexibility to structure working hours around occasional candidate needs. The agency has headquarters in Brooklyn, New York and this role is based primarily at that location.
SALARY:The hourly rate for this temporary position will be $25-$30/hour based on experience.
