The Financial Accountant is responsible for executing the company's daily cash process and facilitating the leasing process.
What you'll be doing:
Cash Management:
Complete the daily balancing of cash and verifies daily cash reports.Reconcile daily bank activity, investigate, and resolve any cash discrepancies.Maintain and manage financial bank records, payment documentation and spreadsheets.Monitor incoming wire and ACH transfers and process outgoing wire payments.Monitor cash levels with cash requirements and coordinate the transfer of funds.Investigate and resolve any cash related issues.Monitor positive pay and other banking alerts.Setup tax payments through external portal.Complete Month-end closing activities related to cash application.Develop and implement cash management strategies to streamline the daily cash processLeasing:
Assist with facilitation of Lease Financing for equipment, rolling stock, company vehiclesAssist with facilitation of the company's employee leased vehicle programDownload lease invoices and reconcile to the leasing model.Review and approve leased passenger vehicle maintenance and repair expenses.Identify and resolve discrepancies between leased vehicle invoices, lease model and general ledger.Prepare month-end journal entries for financing and operating leased vehicles.Other:
Assist with various entries and reconciliationsIdentify areas that can benefit from improvements to reduce risk and provide workflow efficiency.What we are seeking:
Knowledge of financial systems, general accounting concepts and general ledger functions.High level of proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications required. Expertise in Excel formulas / functions and building analytical models.Demonstrate critical thinking skills, including leveraging analytics to generate insights and recommendations for solutions.Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
