What You'll Do:
Assists the Office of Risk Management with operation of the office including administration, claims and data assignments:
• Daily review of incoming events and assign claims
• Monitor Risk email
• Upload received electronic mail and download electronic outgoing mail
• Review state vehicle repair emails and invoices
• Record financial transactions and close claims
• Gather routine claim documents such as crash reports
• Update Origami (risk management information system) with customer satisfaction surveys, upload to ftp for mailing, receive and enter information from returned surveys
• Add defense counsel financial transactions on claims and update and modify hotline spreadsheet for upload to Origami
• Review appraisal data and correct errors, move data to new fields
• Maintains records on activities
• Submits status reports on project or assignment
• Assists in other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Current enrollment in an accredited college or university, as verified via official or unofficial transcript or letter on letterhead from the Registrar's office confirming enrollmentActively perusing a degree in Insurance, Risk Management, or a related fieldAble to start upon hire

Knowledge of:
(1) Business administration
(2) Customer service
(3) Office workflow & procedures*
Skill in:
(4) Operation of PC & associated software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Outlook)
(5) Written & oral communication.

(6) Communicate effectively with coworkers on group projects
(7) Keep work assignments &projects organized
(8) Follow assignment directions in written, oral or picture form
(9) Self-direct & take initiative
