We are hiring an Associate, Corporate Finance in New York to support all of Kobalt's business units. This FP&A position will be part of the global Corporate Finance team and report to the Senior Manager, Corporate Finance. You will help to drive the business through regular forecasting and analysis with a focus on revenue - creating and developing financial models, providing insight into revenue performance, and carrying out ad-hoc analyses for senior management.WHAT DOES A FP&A ASSOCIATE DO AT KOBALT?
Develop and maintain internal financial models, forecasts, and budgetsYou carry out analyses to inform, update and refine forecasting assumptions and logic, and extract insight on business performanceYou support senior team members with ad-hoc requests for financial information/analysis and supporting strategic and operational decision making as appropriateYou ensure forecasts (covering P&L, cash flow and KPIs) are updated on time, communicating as appropriate with stakeholders in the business and in FinanceYou also ensure delivery of regular weekly/monthly/quarterly management reporting and commentaryYou improve and integrate data across multiple systems and departments to increase reliability, accuracy and usefulness of reportingPrepare detailed reports and presentations to share with senior management summarizing forecasts, KPIs, etc.WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?2-4 years of work experience in a corporate finance/FP&A role and have experience preparing deliverables and presenting to senior management.You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills are required.Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide meaningful insights for decision making purposes.Advanced Excel skills, including experience in preparing financial models.Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain findings to stakeholders across multiple functions.You may have experience working in the music or creative industries, but the most important thing is that you have an ability to work independently, and can efficiently manage tight deadlines in a fast paced environment and of course, a passion for working in music!WHY CHOOSE US?
