POSITION TITLE: Administrative Assistant to the Student Support Services Department
POSITION GROUP: HESSA (Level III)
DEPARTMENT: Student Support Services
REPORTS TO: Associate Principal
SUPERVISES: N/A
FSLA STATUS: Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for organizing and coordinating operations and procedures in order to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in support of the Student Support Services Department.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:Twelve (12) Month
Eight (8) hours per dayMay include extended days to assist with building event and meeting preparationESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and community members in a friendly and professional manner.Provide support to assist with the efficient operation of the Student Support Services Office and Summer School.Schedule 504 meetings and communicate schedules with appropriate personnel.Arrange college representative visits.Enroll and register new students to HCHS and online learning platforms.Coordinate student transportation changes.Maintain student support databases.Keep current with best practices and requirements as they relate to the job.Perform such other job related duties and assume such other professional responsibilities as your supervisor may assign.Represent Hononegah Community High School in a professional manner.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma, Associate Degree preferredAt least three years of experience clerical rolesKnowledge and proficiency in the use of computers and various word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs and the use of other office equipmentANALYTICAL & INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents.Ability to write routinely and speak effectively before groups of employees.Ability to work independently and in an acceptable time frame.Ability to maintain efficient office procedures and systems for keeping track of requested action and reports.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and apply basic concepts of algebra.Ability to apply critical thinking skills and new technologies in rendering solutions to various technical issues.Ability to use technology for word processing, collaboration, presentation, database, and spreadsheet programs and the use of other office equipment.Ability to establish and maintain effective, appropriate working relationships with students, staff, and the community.Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with proper technique.Ability to walk, stand, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, and sit for extended periods of time.Ability to bend and twist at the neck and trunk to maneuver office work spaces.Ability to hear and see close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and perceive depth.Ability to use fine motor skills to complete detailed work for use on office equipment and technology.
