Summary:The Senior Payroll Technology Consultant collaborates with stakeholders from all business units to support and maintain technology solutions across the enterprise. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing by researching and analyzing complex payroll issues, maintaining system data integrity, and providing technical support for payroll functions. The consultant will work closely with HR, Finance, and IT teams, offering consulting expertise on business and technology matters that impact payroll, while also enhancing system functionality and streamlining payroll processes.Duties and Responsibilities:Leads in the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and technologies.Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll system-related issues and provide resolution in a timely manner.Oversee complex payroll issue resolution and provide strategic recommendations.Configure and test HRIS system updates and enhancements related to payroll functions.Troubleshoot and resolve payroll discrepancies, including errors in employee data and payroll calculations.Generate and analyze payroll reports, including summaries, trends, and compliance reports.Develop custom reports and queries to meet the needs of various stakeholders.Ensure payroll processes comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.Identify opportunities for system improvements and work with key teams to implement changes.Maintain confidentiality of all payroll and people data.Work collaboratively with the payroll operations, HR functional areas, and third-party partners.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in business or technology or equivalent experience required.Extensive experience in payroll processing and technology (usually 5+ years).Strong problem-solving skills: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Strong customer service.Strong written and verbal communication.Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.Highly developed interpersonal skills.
