Job PurposeAs the

HRIS Intern

, you will work closely with the HRIS team to assist in the successful implementation of Power BI reporting tools and support the migration of HR data from our existing HRIS system to a new platform - SAP Success Factors. This role offers the unique opportunity to interact with colleagues across various business units and functions at Albany.

ResponsibilitiesPower BI Implementation Support:Assist in setting up Power BI reports and dashboards to meet HR analytics needs.Collaborate with HRIS and HR teams to define reporting requirements and ensure data accuracy.Support the integration of HR data into Power BI from various HR systems.Help troubleshoot Power BI issues and assist with user training on report usage.Data Migration Assistance:Help assess data from the current HRIS system and ensure it is ready for migration.Assist with data cleansing and validation to ensure the accuracy and consistency of HR records.Support the mapping of data fields between the old and new HRIS platforms.Collaborate with IT and HR teams to ensure smooth migration and minimize system downtime.Documentation & Reporting:Document processes, procedures, and best practices for Power BI and data migration tasks.Create and maintain reports that track project progress and issues.General HRIS Support:Provide general administrative support to the HRIS team as needed.Assist in testing and troubleshooting new HRIS functionalities.Help train HR staff and end-users on new system features and reports.Responsible for working with highly sensitive and confidential information, maintaining confidentiality.Ensure information is maintained according to privacy, confidentiality, and compliance standards.Willingness to collaborate and support in additional tasks that arise within the HR team.

Qualifications:Education and Experience:Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field, with at least two years of coursework completed.Minimum GPA 3.0Abilities:Familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools is a plus.Basic understanding of human resources principles and practices.Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data cleaning, transformation, and analysis techniques.Basic understanding of HRIS systems, data management, and reporting.Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously.
