A law firm in San Jose, CA, seeks an experienced Mid-Level Employment Law Attorney with a strong background in counseling clients and litigation involving wage and hour disputes, class actions, employment discrimination, and wrongful termination cases in California state and federal courts.Job Duties:Counsel clients on employment law issues, including wage and hour laws, leave policies (FMLA, ADA), and compliance matters.Represent clients in litigation involving wage and hour disputes, class actions, employment discrimination, and wrongful termination cases in California state and federal courts.Draft and prepare responsive pleadings, motions, and briefs.Engage in motion practice, including drafting and arguing motions.Respond to discovery requests and participate in all phases of discovery.Conduct legal research and provide legal analysis for clients.Develop employment policies, procedures, and compliance training programs.Negotiate settlements and manage pre-litigation disputes.Advise clients on employment-related regulatory matters.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Active member in good standing of the California State Bar.Minimum of 5+ years of experience practicing employment law, including litigation experience in California.Proven track record of handling wage and hour cases, class actions, employment discrimination, and wrongful termination matters.Experience responding to administrative charges and representing clients in state and federal courts.Strong academic background with exceptional communication, analytical, and writing skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.Skills:Excellent oral and written communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.Attention to detail and accuracy in work product.Proficiency in legal research and writing.Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, particularly in California.Negotiation skills and experience in settlement discussions.Preferred Certifications:Certification or specialization in employment law is a plus.
