.Contract and Grant Accounting provides the University of New Mexico's research community with professional expertise and quality customer service in the management of external funding. Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree and successful completion of at least 12 credit hours of university-level accounting through intermediate accounting; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.Preferred QualificationsPreferences should be supported in the resume.Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or BBA with Accounting emphasisExperience with research administrationExperience working with UNM financial programs such as MyReports and BannerEffective time management skills to prioritize multiple ongoing work tasks to meet deadlinesAbility to communicate effectively at different levels of organization, both verbally and in writingEffective research and analytical skills to investigate discrepancies or questionsProficient in MS Excel to analyze/interpret financial data and prepare reportsAbility to learn, understand, and apply University, Federal, State, and Agency policies and terms & conditions
