IT Procurement & Asset Management Specialist
with the opportunity to work on-site or a hybrid schedule. This position manages IT procurement and inventory management, focusing on automating workflows to improve efficiency. Responsibilities include maintaining records for hardware and software purchases, licenses, warranties, and service agreements, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and cost savings. This role will collaborate with stakeholders to implement solutions supporting IT procurement and asset management strategies.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:IT PROCUREMENT:
Oversee the end-to-end procurement process for IT hardware, software, and services, ensuring timely delivery and compliance.Create and manage IT procurement processes to achieve license compliance and effective asset tracking.Maintain a centralized database of IT purchases, vendor agreements, licenses, warranties, and service agreements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Identify and lead automation initiatives to streamline procurement workflows and improve data accuracy.Collaborate with technology leads to ensure IT purchases align with organizational standards.Research and evaluate vendors for cost-effectiveness, quality, and alignment with organizational needs.Ensure timely order processing and delivery, meeting schedules and preventing overstock situations.Monitor and evaluate vendor performance and participate in supply chain optimization efforts.Ensure adherence to procurement policies and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with IT stakeholders to ensure asset database accuracy, reflecting changes such as moves, adds, and changes.
ASSET MANAGEMENT ADMINISTRATOR:
Maintain and update the IT asset management database, ensuring accurate records of hardware, software, licenses, warranties, and service agreements.Oversee asset lifecycle processes (procurement, maintenance, disposal) to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.Identify and lead automation opportunities within asset management to improve tracking, reporting, and asset utilization.Analyze asset data to forecast inventory needs, support budgeting, and develop procurement planning.Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services.Conduct regular audits of IT assets to verify accuracy, optimize inventory levels, and identify underutilized resources.Collaborate with IT, HR, and finance departments to align asset management practices with budgetary and operational goals.Monitor software license usage and compliance, preventing penalties and optimizing software investments.Provide regular reporting on asset status, utilization, and costs to stakeholders and leadership.
The ideal candidate will have the following educational and experience background:
3+ years of experience in IT asset management, inventory control, IT procurement, supply chain management or a related field.Strong knowledge of asset management principles, including software license management and IT procurement processes.Knowledge of IT asset management and software licensing principles.Proficiency in data analysis, with a focus on identifying trends, forecasting needs, and improving operational efficiency.Familiarity with asset management and tracking software.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Problem Solving – Solves problems and makes business decisions independently, with the focus on cost reduction in the best interest of LSI.Innovate – Introduce new ideas and processes which improve performance and productivity.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Relevant certifications, such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Technology Procurement Specialist (CTPS).Experience implementing or working with automated procurement systems.
