About the Team Our team consists of analysts and engineers with a blend of skills and experiences, yet we underline the value of each individual and celebrate the successes of the TEAM. We provide software, hardware and other services across the College Board enterprise. We work with teams across the company including Procurement, Security, and Product teams to provide software applications (Licensed-based, SaaS, etc.) and hardware. About the Role This position is based in our Reston, VA office and is full-time onsite. The Asset Management Analyst position involves tracking, analyzing, and optimizing the lifecycle of software licenses, hardware devices, and related resources. The analyst ensures compliance, cost-effectiveness, and efficient utilization of assets. In addition to duties such as procuring equipment and maintaining inventory and process around ensuring equipment's return, etc. Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM) (40%) * Ability to analyze data related to software licenses, hardware inventory, and asset utilization. * Ability to maintain accurate records of software licenses, hardware devices, and related assets and regularly update asset databases and tracking systems. * Assist with asset lifecycle stages (acquisition, deployment, maintenance, retirement). * Assist with identifying trends, risks, and opportunities related to asset management. * Assist end-users with asset-related inquiries, troubleshooting, and training. * Ability to mitigate risks related to unauthorized software installations or outdated hardware. * Ability to execute processes relating to software and hardware asset management. * Assist in special program-related issues as needed, with the flexibility to change focus as necessary. * Support procurement approval process. * Support IT budget process. Software Asset Management (SAM) (30%) * Ability to monitor software licenses, renewals, and compliance. * Ability to optimize software usage and minimize costs. * Ability to maintain databases and records of information such as licenses, service agreements, and warranties for the organization's software and hardware. * Provide guidance with software installations and license compliances. * Support software requests, including Productivity Office Suites, etc. Hardware Asset Management (HAM) (20%) * Ability to track hardware inventory, including servers, workstations, laptops, and peripherals. * Coordinate with procurement, deployment, and disposal of hardware assets. * Ability to ensure compliance with hardware warranties and maintenance contracts. * Supports all College Board hardware requests, including desktops, laptops, PC/MAC OS, servers, etc. * Provide Off Hours support as needed for moves and special projects. * Be able to lift around 50 lbs. if required Team Skills (10%) * Provide meaningful contributions to discus ions surrounding process improvement and future departmental goals and strategies. * Effective with interpersonal communication, relationship building and problem solving. * Assist when required in cross-training peers and in resolving issues when first presented without escalation, where possible. You Have: * Bachelor's degree preferred * 4 years' experience in technology asset management and internal customer support * Demonstrated competency through training or application of Information Technology contract administration, licensing, purchasing or procurement * Excellent written and communication and collaboration abilities * Proficiency in asset management tools and software (e.g., ServiceNow, SCCM) * Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, SAM, CMDB) are a plus. * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail * You are authorized to work in the US Related Skills & Other Requirements: * Ability to deal tactfully with vendors, suppliers, and contractors who provide a broad spectrum of products and services * Ability to provide a high level of customer service * Digital Certificate Management knowledge preferred * Demonstrated skills with office automation tools and end-user database software and utilities * Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment * General knowledge of accounting, finance, marketing, and logistics * Requires use of a wireless handheld device * Strong interpersonal & organizational skills About Our Process * Application review will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled * While the hiring process may vary, it generally includes: resume and application submission, recruiter phone screen, hiring manager interview, performance exercise such as live coding, a panel interview, a conversation with leadership and reference checks About Our Benefits and Compensation College Board offers a competitive benefits and compensation program that attracts top talent looking to make a difference in education. The hiring range for a new employee in this position is $48,000 to $80,000. College Board differentiates salaries by location so where you live will narrow the portion of this range in which you can expect a salary. Your salary will be carefully determined based on your location, relevant experience, the external labor market, and the pay of College Board employees in similar roles.
