Position Summary:We are looking for a strategic and dynamic Purchasing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee the procurement processes, manage the supply chain to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials, and maintain excellent relationships with suppliers. This role is pivotal to our operations, ensuring that our procurement activities align with our business goals and drive efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Procurement:
Oversee the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, supplies, and services.Inventory Awareness:
Partner with Inventory Management to ensure optimal stock levels and reduce carrying costs.Supplier Relations:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts and secure favorable terms to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials.Logistics Coordination:
Manage logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution. Ensure the smooth and timely delivery of products to customers.Cost Management:
Analyze and control procurement costs, track spending, and implement cost-saving initiatives.Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards related to supply chain and procurement activities.Team Leadership:
Lead and develop a team of supply chain and purchasing professionals. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.Performance Analysis:
Use key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate supply chain performance and implement improvements based on data-driven insights.Risk Management:
Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.Reporting:
Prepare and present regular reports on supply chain and procurement performance to senior management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, , Business Administration, or a related field.Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field.Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems, and a thorough understanding of logistics and distribution.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with automation technologies, insight into economic conditions and market dynamics, and the ability to lead and train employees.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Refined ability to delegate responsibilities and provide leadership and training to key personnel.Demonstrate a strong work ethic and personal drive for meeting or exceeding goals and achieving results.Flexible and capable of successfully performing in a fast-paced environment.
