Position Summary:The incumbent will be responsible for creating and maintaining research datasets and reporting using electronic health data - specifically from the Epic Clarity electronic medical records system. The incumbent will work on a multidisciplinary team of developers within the Enterprise Data and Analytics Department and will collaborate with other institutions across the University of California Health. The incumbent will use UCI Health software such as Tableau, SSIS, SSRS, Epic Reporting Workbench, Epic Radar, and the enterprise data warehouse to deliver high quality reports and datasets. The focus of this position is health research data for the UCI Medical School research needs.What It Takes to be Successful
Required Qualifications:Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned dutiesMust demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the jobExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent work experienceAbility to perform basic performance tuning to optimize queries to meet user needsAbility to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workloadAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System1+ years of experience working with health data1+ years of experience with SQL1+ years of experience with MS SQL server, Oracle or other SQL RDMS as well as reporting tools such as SSRS, Tableau, Crystal Reports, etc1+ year of data analytics experience using relational databasesPreferred Qualifications:Strong working knowledge of the software development lifecycleKnowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and formsExperience with version control solutionsExperience with Epic EMR systemExperience using Collibra or similar Data Governance platformExperience developing and maintaining technical documentation within a centralized code repositoryClarity CertificationAbility to work in agile team structure2+ years of healthcare research data analytics2+ years of healthcare analytics experience2+ years of experience with SSRS, SSIS, Crystal Reports, and TableauConditions of Employment:The University of California, Irvine (UCI) seeks to provide a safe and healthy environment for the entire UCI community.
