in achieving its business strategy.The successful candidate will work on programming and optimizing selection software for new products and options to support the growth of the Commercial Airside business.General ResponsibilitiesApply software engineering principles to code parametric engineering designsAnalyze existing code to catch up on current software and systemsDocumentation and maintenance of code over timeUtilize Agile methodologies for product developmentParticipate in continuous improvement activities including standard work, Kaizen, and VSM eventsSpecific ResponsibilitiesUnderstand pre-existing Java code behind the current, highly configurable product offering to assist in code optimization effortsWork with others on the engineering and software teams on the backend for the next generation cloud-based front end for selection softwareDevelop test cases to validate Product Design and SoftwareAssist the maintenance and optimization of hardware infrastructure to support software optimizationAttend company functions, lunch and learns, and networking eventsShadow multiple office positions and train in a variety of tasksBasic QualificationsMust be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree (or Higher) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.GPA must be greater than or equal to a 3.0 GPAMust be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship1+ years of Java and XML DatabasePreferred QualificationsRegExgrep, awk, sedSQLDROOLSCloud computingAgile mindsetScrum experienceWorking Knowledge of xQuery, VBA & JavaScriptKnowledge of PTC’s Pro/Engineer (Creo) and WindChill applicationsProficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsSelf-driven and proactiveAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritiesAbility to communicate effectively at all levelsTeam player and willing to collaborate with others on projectsSheet metal, mechanical and electrical design experience is desiredHVAC engineering/design/manufacturing experience is preferredHighly organized with strong attention to detail, while managing multiple prioritiesPay Range:
