A law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Counsel to join their team in a non-partner track role. The ideal candidate will have 7-15 years of experience in litigation, with a strong background in handling both trial and appellate court matters. This role requires exceptional research and writing skills and the ability to manage significant litigation projects across various practice areas.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage multiple significant litigation projects.
Handle both trial and appellate court matters.
Draft comprehensive briefs, motions, and legal documents for state and federal courts.
Work on complex cases involving commercial contracts, real estate disputes, construction claims, healthcare disputes, and insurance recovery.
Take ownership of significant projects and ensure timely and effective legal representation.
Represent public agency clients (preferred experience).
Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis.
Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with clients and internal teams.
Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials.
Requirements:
7-15 years of experience in litigation, with substantial exposure to trial and appellate court matters.
Proven track record in drafting briefs and a wide range of motions for state and federal courts.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple high-stakes projects.
Experience in handling cases involving commercial contracts, real estate disputes, construction claims, healthcare disputes, and insurance recovery.
Experience representing public agency clients is preferred.
Admission to the State Bar of California is required.
Education and Certifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active admission to the State Bar of California.

Proven ability to manage complex litigation matters.
