The Key Account Manager position is a critical member of the VAT Sales Team responsible for proactively driving sales, prospecting new potential business and reporting market intelligence to VAT Corporate management while maintaining positive customer satisfactionAs the primary point of contact with the customer base, it is critical that the KAM represent the organization's best interest and present an image in line with VAT corporate expectationsWorking within a cross functional team of engineers, technicians, customer service, product management and finance to effectively execute the global sales strategyDevelop quarterly and annual growth plans aimed at increasing market share and driving strategically important corporate objectivesWork the global account customers to identify and spec in value added opportunities for VAT customized solutions including special valves and multi-valve modulesLead a team of product managers and applications engineers to provide technical assistance for product selection, promote the entire range of VAT Vacuum valve products, provide quotes and follow opportunities through to completionUnderstand the TAM and SAM of customer business unitsPrepare strategic plans and supporting tactics to grow VAT Share of Wallet within responsible business unitsBuild system roadmaps and work to displace the competition on legacy equipment and attain specification wins on all new system developmentsStay abreast of market intelligence and industry trends within the accountReport findings and subsequent opportunities to VAT management and product groupsDemonstrate leadership with peer groups and management helping to propagate a single (ONE VAT) team approach to the businessProactively manage custom engineering projects and act as the liaison between the customer and the product groups at the VAT Swiss headquartersTravel globally as required to serve the global account and to the VAT Swiss headquarters based on internal initiatives and customer projectsActively demonstrate the highest level of professionalism, ethical behavior and integrity in all aspects of KAM roleCompany Overview
