Position SummaryThe Business Relationship Manager (BRM) acts as the strategic interface between the IT department and OVG’s business units, ensuring that technology solutions, services, and support align with business needs and objectives. The BRM works to understand business requirements, serves as an advocate for the IT department and their assigned business units, and ensures that technology solutions contribute to the success of the organization. This role is crucial in fostering a productive partnership between IT and the business, enabling the organization to identify and leverage technology effectively to achieve its goals. This role will focus on the Finance, HR, and Legal functions and related technologies, and will be a critical member of the team managing the rollout of a new HCM solution.
This role will pay a salary of $137,000 to $156,000 and is bonus eligible.

This position will remain open until Dec 31, 2024.
ResponsibilitiesStrategic Partnership:
Serve as the primary point of contact between IT and assigned business units
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the business units’ strategies, objectives, and challenges
Advocate for the business units’ needs to ensure alignment with overall technology strategies
Facilitate regular communication and collaboration between IT and business leaders to foster a strong partnership
Work across the IT and business teams to ensure that technology solutions are effectively implemented and adopted by the business
Project & Demand Management:
Identify and assess technology needs and opportunities, then develop technology roadmaps that align with the business units’ strategic goals
Manage the prioritization of technology projects, ensuring that resources are allocated to initiatives that deliver the highest value to the business
Oversee the delivery of IT projects, ensuring they meet business requirements, timelines, and budgets
Create, communicate, and execute project plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements with a focus on optimizing risk vs. delivery
Monitor the performance and effectiveness of technical and operational solutions, ensuring they meet the needs of the business
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key business stakeholders
Act as a trusted advisor, offering insights and recommendations on how technology can drive business success
Facilitate feedback loops between business units and IT to continuously improve services and solutions
Drive change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new technologies and processes
Assists in the resolution of issues, escalating when necessary to ensure that business operations are not disrupted
Financial and Performance Management:
Assist in the development of technology budgets for business units that are aligned with business needs and strategic goals
Monitor technology spending and ensure cost-effective delivery of technology services
Track and report on the performance of technology services, projects, and initiatives against agreed-upon KPIs and SLAs
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT business relationship management, IT project management, or a related role
Proven experience in managing relationships between IT and business units
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, and business processes
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to translate business needs into IT requirements, and vice versa
Ability to present technical and functional information concisely that explains the issues at hand, including options for the team to discuss for problem resolution
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks, such as ITIL
Experience with change management and business process improvement.
