RT&T, a joint venture of InDyne, Inc. and Amentum Services, Inc. is the prime contractor to support the Atlantic Range Technical Support Services (ARTSS) for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) headquartered in Patuxent River, MD, and with locations in Maryland, Virginia, and California.

ARTSS supports Atlantic Test Ranges (ATR) and Atlantic Targets and Marine Operations (ATMO) in research and development, engineering, maintenance, operation, support of facilities, systems, and equipment in order to meet the engineering development and operational testing and fleet training missions for some of the world's premier systems. Our work with the U.S. Navy keeps the warfighter safe by testing systems before they are used in combat, and we are hiring personnel to support this important mission.

Background:

This full-time position supports the Personal Computer Debriefing System (PCDS) Team within the Range Systems Branch of the Range Instrumentation Division of Atlantic Test Ranges (ATR), Patuxent River, Maryland. ATR is the Navy's East Coast open-air test range and provides real-time test and evaluation (T&E) services including data acquisition, instrumentation, data analysis, recording, test management, and airspace management to DoD and commercial customers. ATR deploys complex, cutting-edge, one-of-a-kind instrumentation and our engineers work in a fast-paced, highly rewarding technical environment at the forefront of naval T&E. Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform technical writing services for the PCDS team, including developing software test plans, help documents, user guides, and configuration management.Perform PCDS software testing tasks upon unit and system integrations and effectively report and document all findingsAnswer PCDS Help Desk calls and emails and assist users with troubleshooting software issuesAssist training PCDS users on the use of PCDS softwareHardware management to include inventory and trackingPerform other duties as needed to support the PCDS Team including administrative dutiesNote: This job description describes the general nature of the duties and requirements of the job. Educational, Experience, and Skills Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalentSuccessful completion of technical school, trade school, or advanced armed services technical school in computer programming, operations, or computer systems management; or successful completion of at least 30 semester hours (45 quarter hours) of courses in computer programming, operations, systems management, or related field from an accredited collegeA minimum of one (1) year of work experience performing the stated or similar functionIn lieu of post-High School education/training, a total of three (3) years of experience performing the stated functions is requiredExperience with testing software and writing technical documentation is a definite plusApplicant should have technical knowledge/experience with computers and be a resourceful problem-solverApplicant must be an effective communicator and able to provide excellent customer serviceApplicant must be a self-starter and take initiative to undertake activities with minimal supervision, but also work well with other team members.Applicant should have knowledge of or experience with HTML, MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe Acrobat, GIT, Visual Studio, and SourceTree.Applicant must be able to work under pressure within a deadline-driven environmentApplicant must be willing to travel for user support when necessaryPost-high school training in computer programming, computer operations, or computer systems management is highly desiredApplicant must possess a valid driver's license and successfully pass drug screeningSecurity Clearance:

Currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Security clearance eligibility may be discussed during the interview phase.Employment and start date is contingent upon the candidate receiving the required US DoD issued interim security clearanceWork Conditions:

Conditions may vary. Most work is performed in enclosed buildings, but some outside work may be required. Work will include sitting, standing, walking, lifting and reaching. Applicant should be capable of lifting 50-100 lbs. assisted by other employees.
