Intrepid Studios is seeking a highly organized

Human Resources Manager . As the HR Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dynamic and creative team. You will be responsible for overseeing all human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor laws. Your work will directly contribute to creating a positive and productive work environment for all employees. The ideal candidate would be an accomplished HR professional who can provide a full spectrum of HR deliverables that align with the businesses' strategic goals. Direct experience in the video games market would be advantageous.Key Responsibilities:HR Policies and Procedures:

Develop and update HR policies and procedures.Support upper management in implementing human resource strategies depending on the organizational vision.Ensure all HR activities are in line with company objectives and values.Work closely with HR team members to develop and implement HR strategic programs that will drive increased employee satisfaction, retention, and commitment levels.Act as a certified member of the joint Health & Safety committee.

Employee Relations and Engagement:

Address employee concerns and provide solutions in a timely manner.Promote a positive work culture that supports collaboration and creativity.Act as a point of contact to respond to general HR-related inquiries.Administer and explain benefits program to employees and serve as a liaison between employees and benefit provider.Manage & coordinate the work visa application process (incl. travel arrangements) for new hires moving from around the globe.Manage & coordinate the work permit application process for remote employees globally.Plan, implement and assess training programs for the studio to ensure they meet the needs of the team.Effectively engage employees and communicate with all levels of the organization providing advice, assistance, and follow-up on studio policies and programs.Effectively resolve employee issues and concerns for support teams.Work with Leads to create employee development plans and Performance Improvement Plans when necessary for support teams.

Assist the Creative Director and Production staff with special projects such as (but not limited to): compensation analysis, headquarters annual salary review report and presentation, studio presentations, town hall meetings, and service awards.Performance Management:

Lead in the development and implementation of programs, activities, and Human Resources Systems (performance evaluation, compensation plan, training and development, promotion management, succession planning, organizational development and recognition, etc.) and monitor progress.Prepare and conduct new hire orientation and documentation and programs.Maintain confidential employee records and provide reporting as necessary.Act as an advisor to Leads on issues relating to policy interpretation and employee relations; providing coaching techniques and developing performance improvement plans.

Legal Compliance:

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws.Maintain updated knowledge of industry labor legislation, HR-related law, and best practices.

Compensation and Benefits:

Oversee payroll processing and ensure competitive compensation packages.Administer employee benefits programs.Work closely with Finance to ensure all information and documentation (new employees, bonus payments, salary increases) are accurate and delivered on-time for the semi-monthly completion of payroll.

Talent Acquisition and Recruitment:

Develop and implement strategies for sourcing and attracting top talent.Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding.

Training and Development:

Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills.Facilitate professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:Minimum 4 years relevant experience in human resources as a generalist, business partner, or other relevant experience.Must have completed either an undergraduate or post-graduate degree in Human Resources Management and be working toward or have obtained a designation as an SHRM Certified Professional.Human Resources experience in the entertainment or creative industry is an asset.Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills.High level of attention to details.Strong presentation and analytical skills.Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.Ability to work with all levels within the organization.Proficient in MS Office (able to develop reports in Excel, PowerPoint Presentations) and Google Suite.Demonstrates creativity and innovation in solutions.Be action-oriented and make decisions quickly.Excellent communication skills both oral and written.Able to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
