Summary of Job Description
The Human Resources Manager effectively partners with the Senior HR leadership team to develop and execute HR strategies that meet and exceed the expectations of the Sheraton brand, ownership, and associates. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for supporting employee engagement, community service initiatives, labor relations, benefits, learning & development, compliance, and recruiting.
The salary for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 per year.
Work HoursFull Time and on-site.Flexible schedule may be required to include nights, weekends and holidays based upon business demandsEssential Job Duties
Manages the full-cycle recruitment and onboarding process aligned with the hotel's objectivesManages HR administration to ensure compliance with employee files and recordsProvides subject matter expertise to property managers with regards to recruitment, associate and labor relations and shares best practicesCoordinates and facilitates new hire orientation and trainings that align with the Sheraton Brand and ownership objectivesOrganizes associate engagement activities and celebrationsSupports and participates in community service initiativesPractices an "open door" policy and takes timely action to associate concernsFollow 4 Keys service standards, standard operation procedures, and safety standardsAdhere to attendance and reliability standardsFollow all additional duties as assigned by managementJob Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years' relevant human resources experiencePrevious labor relations experience preferredStrong organizational, leadership and project management skillsInnovative approach to traditional HR practicesComprehensive understanding of CA employment law, including labor relations, recruiting, benefits, workers comp and leave administrationDetail oriented and resourceful in a fast-paced environmentBilingual English/Spanish speaking skills preferred
