Reporting to the National Sea Logistics Revenue Care Manager, dotted line to VP Sea Logistics West Area, you will oversee and develop the area pricing department. Your role involves implementing pricing strategies, focusing on driving volume growth with optimized yields, allocation management, and enhancing the customer and employee experiences. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze market data, and contribute to pricing excellence within the sea logistics business unit.Your Responsibilities
Yield & Allocation Management:Overseeing GP, yield, and allocation management. Identify low-yield accounts, sell value-added services, and manage peak and slack season strategies to optimize yield.End-to-End Pricing Management:Effectively manage local/regional RFQs and local spot pricing requests. Develop pricing strategies at trade-lane, client, and area levels.Develop and Manage KPIs:Set and monitor pricing KPIs and productivity. Develop and implement pricing policy within the Area organization. Develop and adjust standard pricing procedures based on strategic requirements.Collaboration and Integration:Work closely with the NS-D & Area ZS-D’s to maintain existing business and win new business. Collaborate with Trade Managers to ensure optimization of carrier allocation in accordance with Area demand. Collaborate with NS-R and other Area ZS-Rs to align on developing and executing pricing strategies for new and existing customers to optimize profitability. Integrate and harmonize standard pricing procedures into existing KN SOPs.Strategic Initiatives and Meetings:Participate in client meetings to assist area sales and assist SME RFQ preparation. Provide regular news updates to area sales, area sea logistics management, and branch management. Conduct regular pipeline reviews and trainings with area sales as a sea logistics SME expert, guiding strategic development.Leadership and Management:Lead the Area Pricing Team.Your Skills and Experiences
Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing/Finance/Sales/Management or comparable work experience.3+ years of experience in a management position with 2 or more direct reports.5+ years of experience in Sea Logistics.Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.Strong knowledge of MS Office Products.Ability to travel for business.Ability to work from the office 5 days per week.Good Reasons to Join
