The specialist in this role will also be responsible for leading highly parallelized and systematic functional screens, such as bulk proliferation screens using pooled CRISPRi or CROP-Seq experiments assessing hundreds of autism risk genes in parallel. Finally, the scientist in this position will be responsible for the design and conduct of experiments to validate hypotheses generated from the aforementioned data in human iPSC-based 2D and 3D neural models. To achieve these goals, the specialist will supervise two or more employees and/or trainees and will be responsible for full oversight of staffing, performance management, and daily operations.Required Qualifications:PhD in a relevant life sciences discipline.At least 3 years of postdoctoral training. Expertise in human cell culture.Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in a lab setting.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with highly parallelized CROP-Seq and CRISPRi screens.Experience generating iPSC-derived neurons. Specialized knowledge in the field of autism.See Table 24B for the salary range for this position.
