As an Engineer, you will research, design, develop, and test proprietary mechanical and thermal devices and systems. This role contributes to the entire machinery production cycle, from conception to installation.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct research and surveys to develop technical plans for equipment and systemsLeverage computer-assisted design (CAD) to create Swisher-specific components and productsBuild and test new devices and modifications to existing equipmentOversee the installation of new systems or machineryEvaluate the functionality of machinery and troubleshoot malfunctionsModify and maintain products and all supporting processesDocument technical operationsCollaborate with Project Managers to allocate and track resourcesTravel: 35-50%

Qualifications

2+ years of related experience is requiredProficient with CAD SoftwareExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsMechanical and technical skills

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree in engineering or related fieldProven working experience in mechanical engineeringWorking experience with product lifecycle management (PLM), finite element analysis (FEA), and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)Hands-on experience with computer-aided engineering (CAM) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAE)Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ProE, or other)
