Yoh Scientific is actively recruiting for a Tissue Culture Laboratory Technician to work a contract assignment in Gainesville, GA.Due to the job duties for this assignment, candidate can not have pet birds or chickens or any kinds at home.

Work Schedule:
Must be able to work first shift, and rotating weekend work. Some overtime will be expected.Typical Schedule:Mon: 7am 5pmTues: 7a 4pWed: 7a 2:30pThurs: 7a 5pFri: 7a -12:30pm
Labs rotate coming in at 6am.Once trained, there is rotated weekend work. Typically, 6am/7am until 10am on Saturday; and 6am/7am until 11am on Sunday. When working the weekend, technician will get the prior Wednesday off.Responsibilities:Assists in all areas in the production of Marek's disease vaccine, which may include, but are not limited to:
Perform all processes in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.Utilize sterile techniques at all times.Active knowledge of working under laminar flow hoods and HEPA filtered environment.Communicate any occurrence to team leader and/or supervisor immediately.Responsible for keeping the lab area clean and sterile at all times.Individual monthly responsibilities are assigned in each lab.Individual must ensure these activities are completed accurately and in a timely manner.Assist in receiving roller bottles in labs and receiving roller bottles in holding area.Assist with the candling and racking of eggs in Incubation department.Maintain accurate and timely manufacturing records.Actively promotes safety and awareness in the lab, always acting in occurrence with safety practices.Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write and speak English.Training begins immediately and must be fully trained in a timely manner on sterile technique and general lab procedures.Must be a team player.Must be able to lift 50 lbs and carry it 10 ft.Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time and work in a sterile environment.Regular attendance is a must.Self-motivated.Ability to think ahead to next task.Can work well under time restraints.What's In It For You?We welcome you to be a part of one of the largest global staffing companies to meet your career aspirations.
