Ability to carry out and understand assignments, and/or convey or exchange routine information. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, company policies/procedures, or other program-related information. Ability to rapidly obtain, sort, filter, and analyze large volumes of data for distillation into high-level reports. Ability to work in a highly technical and fast-paced detailed design and construction program environment. Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work independently, as part of a team, or lead a small team. Ability to adapt to various job assignments that stretch the boundaries of the job description due to the dynamic nature of Government Shipbuilding.FunctionsRegular attendance at work and the ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.Create, maintain, or develop schedules and tracking matrices to support Project Engineering, Field Engineering, Change Management, Operations, or other engineering group activities and objectives.Direct and coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables are submitted in accordance with the intended requirements of all tasking.Provide metrics and tracking support on design deliverable submissions.Provide detailed plans of action and deficiency reports for deliverable reviews to support Project Engineering, Field Engineering, Change Management, or other engineering groups’ objectives and schedules.Work within various databases (including Gov’t systems (e.g., TSM)), SharePoint, Adept, and other Microsoft suite products to provide current and accurate status and actionable item information to management.Oversee daily team actionable item completion and support project leads with current status.Support tracking CAR, Trial Card, Change Documentation, and other program support response and resolution status.Perform other duties as instructed.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesA Data and Information Analyst III may have team leadership responsibilities over employees.Reporting RelationshipThis position will report to Engineering or Operations Supervisors.Qualifications8 or more years of industry experience.Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.Advanced level Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook experience.Read, analyze, and interpret documents such as general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.Effectively present information and respond to questions from mid-level management and peers.Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, display attention to detail, and function as a team player.Prior experience with Government Shipbuilding programs is desired. Must have intermediate experience with Excel and strong communication skills. Prior experience with project planning efforts, Microsoft Project, and EVMS is a plus.This successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual that will be responsible for supporting the OPC Engineering metrics and reports for the department.Educational RequirementsData and Information Analyst III must have an advanced degree. A bachelor’s degree in computer science or equal fields of study is preferred along with 8 or more years of experience.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other CharacteristicsBehavioral Attributes: Integrity, flexibility/adaptability, initiative, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and multitasking.
