The Role: Director, Strategic Projects - HRProofpoint is seeking a Director, Strategic Projects to join our HR Leadership Team. This pivotal role will drive the strategic operations of the department, working closely with and reporting directly to the Chief People Officer (CPO).Your day-to-day:Lead and project-manage cross-functional initiatives that advance our People strategy.Own the completion of high-impact projects, setting clear measures of success.Work with the Comms team to develop HR announcements, talking points, and presentations for the CPO, ensuring clear and effective communication.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, employees, and external partners to drive collaboration and alignment.Partner to ensure optimal budget allocation and resource management for strategic HR projects. Identify opportunities for process enhancement within HR functions and implement streamlined solutions. Collaborate with other departments to optimize processes.Prepare reports for senior leadership using business metrics and KPIs, providing actionable insights that inform decision-making. Foster a positive, inclusive work environment that supports employee engagement, growth, and retention.What you bring to the team:Experience working with analytics, how to tell a story using data, transformation projects, workforce planning, and project and program management.Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to put a project plan together, meet timelines and work with cross-functional teams.Ability to build strong personal relationships with Executive leaders and act as a trusted sounding board.Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets as set out below. Pay within these ranges varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. The range provided may represent a candidate range and may not reflect the full range for an individual tenured employee. This role may be eligible for variable pay and/or equity. We offer a competitive benefits package that includes flexible time off, a robust well-being program that provides for 4 global wellbeing days per year, and a 3-week work from anywhere option.Base Pay Ranges:SF Bay Area, New York City Metro Area: Base Pay Range: 189,750.00 - 278,300.00 USDCalifornia (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska: Base Pay Range: 158,400.00 - 232,320.00 USDAll other cities and states excluding those listed above: Base Pay Range: 144,825.00 - 212,410.00 USD
