Founded in 2015, Hard Truth Distilling Co. has quickly grown into Indiana’s largest distillery and has expanded into 26+ states. We are a grain-to-glass distillery making our own whiskey, bourbon, and other craft spirits on our 325 acres of wooded property. We have a passion and intentionality in our work, as our products continue to win awards and gain notoriety industry-wide. We are looking to grow our team.
The Senior Vice President of Marketing will lead all Hard Truth efforts in our brand strategy, team development, project management, and bridging the marketing team with other departments. This leader will coordinate with the sales and business development leadership teams to plan, strategize, and execute brand growth and programming as we continue into the next phase of Hard Truth’s growth.
Requirements:
Cross-departmental collaboration with sales, production, and finance in developing long and short-term commercialization strategy. Internalizing and communicating the mission and vision of Hard Truth’s marketing efforts with a growing marketing team. Developing campaign and programming strategy inclusive of in-store/shopper, digital, out-of-home, and field marketing. Managing marketing team workflow and key performance indicators. Earned media plan development. Developing team communication and collaboration structures. Managing marketing budget and developing intentional spending plans. Sourcing and vetting of outside contractors for project-based work. Helping build the next great whiskey brand. Qualifications:
8+ years of proven experience in marketing and/or brand development, with a minimum of 5 years experience in adult beverage. Experience working on a national scale in omnichannel marketing is required. Budget management and development of $1M or more. Strong understanding of the adult beverage industry on-premise/off-premise/national accounts. Preferred: General understanding of whiskey market and whiskey media. Preferred: Strong desire to work with a team on a 325-acre distillery complex. Proven leadership, training, and development of employees. Must have, or have the ability to obtain, an alcohol serving permit through the state of Indiana. Salary commensurate with experience starting at $125,000 a year. We are open to remote employees.
