Position Summary
The Director is responsible for leading the organizational, operational, administrative services, and daily operations at Center for Faculty Advancement (CFA) to include, the Faculty Resource Network (FRN) and the Alliance for Public Interest Technology within the Center by creating an infrastructure to manage Center operations and staff. Direct oversight of operating and personnel budget, including working directly with Office of Provost Fiscal team and budget officers to identify spending priorities to create annual strategic financial plans, using a zero-based budgeting process; directing the annual process of planning, submitting, and maintaining CFA's operating budget and financial plan, in partnership with the University Central Budget Office; ensuring CFA follows University financial and procurement policies and procedures. Analyze, plan, conduct, and prepare plans or procedures that provide operational and/or technical support to business operations to achieve specific objectives. Serve as the primary operations liaison for the CFA, and other NYU operational units and exercise independent analysis and decision making skills to develop and manage strategic plans for CFA.
Qualifications
Required Education:Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education:Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration, Public Administration, or Business Administration.
Required Experience:7+ years related experience in budget and financial management and operations and organizational planning, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent financial management, critical thinking, and operational planning skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to navigate through ambiguity and manage competing deadlines and deliverables effectively. Ability to collaborate effectively with others in support of the organization's mission. Ability to exercise good judgment and to handle sensitive information in a discreet, professional manner. Proficiency in standard office and office productivity software.
Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $130,000.00 to USD $170,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
