Description
Girl Scouts Heart of Central California's (GSHCC) Product Program is a dynamic department. The Seasonal Cookie Inventory Specialist is responsible for assisting with the implementation of product sales strategies and campaigns that support girls, parents, and volunteers. This specialist plays a key role in ensuring accurate data entry, excellent customer care, timely cookie distribution, and inventory distribution and reconciliation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESSupport the product program department with on-site coordination of the cookie inventory site, inventory management, logistics of product distribution and data entry.Provides professional and quality customer service to members, volunteers, staff, and other community contacts to support the annual cookie program.Manage onsite cookie inventory ensuring reserved orders take priority.Maintain accurate inventory counts and keep accurate records of all corresponding paperwork.Support off-site, volunteer run inventory sites through the use of council vehicles.Manage cookie orders and excess inventory on-hand, utilizing inventory tracking sheets in Excel.Update volunteer information in Smart Cookies, the cookie management platform, on a daily basis to ensure accurate inventory records.Stage reserved orders by scheduled pick-up day with prefilled paperwork.Assist with cookie program reconciliation.Assist with the distribution of cookie rewards and incentives.Ensure the accuracy of all Product Program transactions and the safeguarding of assets (materials, inventory, and incentives)Qualifications
Possess a can-do attitudeStrong computer user skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel and ability to learn new systemsStrong verbal and written communication skillsMust have high level of interpersonal and customer service skillsAttention to detailDemonstrate a commitment to recognize and respect the many forms of diversityAn understanding of the Girl Scouts mission, goals, values and programsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to lift and carry 30 pounds, including repetitive movement of cookie casesWORK HOUR/TRAVEL
Willing and able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed and travel as required utilizing council vehiclesOTHER
Valid California driver's license, a clean driving record, and proof of insuranceSchedule requirements may change during height of cookie program
