Job Details
Job Summary: Vice President of Accounting will provide technical and operational leadership across accounting functions. The individual will develop and implement accounting policies and procedures that adhere to governmental financial and tax regulations and comply with GAAP and IFRS standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing the preparation of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statements) Ensuring compliance with accounting principles and tax regulations. Utilizing QuickBooks and internal dealership software to perform financial responsibilities across companies. Managing accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and the close process. Coordinating audits and tax filings. Supervising the accounting team and ensuring proper internal controls are in place. Works closely with the audit, legal, and tax teams to ensure the company complies with financial reporting standards and regulations. Collaborates with other departments for accurate reporting and to ensure timely financial closing. Qualifications:
Strong expertise in accounting principles, tax regulations, financial reporting, and auditing Demonstrate experience in building and/or leading an Accounting function at scale is required Strong leadership skills, both direct and indirect. Adjusts easily to change, learns quickly, and understand how internal and external factors impact decisions Demonstrate ability to prioritize and multitask in a fluid, fast paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail Ability to work well cross functionally and influence across the enterprises Experience in growth stage companies preferred Must maintain strict confidentiality Bachelors Degree in Accounting required CPA preferred, but not required PBS system experience preferred, but not required. Automotive dealership experience preferred, but not required Proficient in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and Google Suite required Previous supervisory experience required 10+ years of accounting experience required
