Senior Database Developer

Job Summary

The Senior Database Developer is responsible for supporting Business Intelligence and Reporting initiatives by creating data structures for reporting systems and developing data exchanges and integrations between various platforms. This role also focuses on optimizing existing and new data processes while ensuring database performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain data structures for reporting systems.

• Develop data exchanges and integrations between various platforms.

• Optimize existing and new data processes for performance and efficiency.

• Develop stored procedures, functions, and scripts.

• Conduct source-to-target data mapping exercises.

• Perform database and query performance optimization, including indexing and query tuning.

• Design and develop ETL processes to support data movement.

• Collaborate with teams to support Business Intelligence and Reporting requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of SQL.

• Extensive hands-on experience with MS SQL Server or Redshift platform.

• Deep understanding of RDBMS concepts.

• Hands-on experience in data modeling and database design.

• Expertise in database/query performance optimization and troubleshooting.

• Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts.

• Proven expertise in developing ETL processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with AWS tools.

• Experience working with BI tools.

• Financial Services industry experience.
