Loan Officer Assistant

Job Description:
The Mortgage Loan Processor will be part of our sales team. You will be responsible for processing mortgage loan files while ensuring accuracy and compliance with investor guidelines. You will also need to be collaborative, as you will be working cross functionally with other mortgage employees in your process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Process mortgage files from opening to post-closing while meeting crucial deadlines
• Prepare and distribute required disclosures to customers
• Gather income and asset documentation
• Order titles, appraisals, flood certifications and insurance binders
• Schedule loan closings in an effective and timely manner
• Process customer denials and withdrawals in a manner compliant with state and federal laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with Loan Officers to ensure an efficient loan process from start to closing
• Communicate professionally with customers to gather required documentation and resolve any issues that arise in the loan process
• Maintain a high level of expertise on investor guidelines and requirements
• Answer incoming phone calls as needed
Qualifications & Skills:
• Strong familiarity with processing, underwriting and closing conventional and government-backed mortgage loans
• High attention to detail and ability to problem solve
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others
• Strong sense of urgency, professional demeanor and top-notch customer service skills
• Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and prioritize tasks as business needs change
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced organizational and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
High School diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in residential mortgage processing.
Systems:
Calyx Point, Mortgage software, Google, Microsoft Suites
Travel Requirements:
Minimal travel required.
Physical Requirements:
This is an office position requiring phone and computer use.
