Why does the job exist?
This position assists the Oil Conservation Division's (OCD) Engineering Bureau's Field Inspections Program in relationship to grants provided to the state to plug and reclaim orphan wells and related facilities ensuring OCD goals and objectives are met. This position primarily will assist in conducting the field implementation work of the compliance inspection program for; investigating and inspecting potential orphan wells to identify and verify their status and potential plugging needs, verify information for the Engineering Admin Bureau, well and facility inspections, associated field actions relating to plugging actions and reacting to any abnormal well conditions as they are discovered. This position must have the technical expertise to oversee the field implementation of well plugging and reclamation programs and to address and relay information on issues as they arise.

This position will spend the majority of it's time in the field inspection oil and gas sites.

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and two (2) years of experience in investigations, regulation, policy, statutory, and/or contract compliance. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below.
